New Publications for July

 For the month of July my art is in two new publications! My photos of model (and Penthouse Pet) Jessi June in a remote Iowa cornfield can be found in Fuse magazine, issue number 58. Jessi is the model in my double award winning art "Flogging A Schoolgirl." This is the first time my photos have been published in that magazine. Second publication is the annual San Diego Comic Con Souvenir Book, this year available as a free download. I have paintings in two sections of the book. My painting of the Cyclops from the movie "The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad" celebrates the 100th birthday of stop motion king Ray Harryhausen. A painting of a cemetery is for the 75th anniversary of the comic publisher EC. Soft Magazine Again, March 2020

My photos are featured in Soft Magazine again. This time Oregon model Lynette Brooks, who I worked with last October, graces the pages of the magazine. Red haired Lynette poses nude with a large piece of red cloth, showing what a talented model can do with a simple prop. I've been very lucky to have worked with so many great models! Five pages in Graphis Nudes 5.

It was a long wait, but now finally the Graphis book Nudes 5 is done and available. A big, beautiful book featuring the work of some of the best photographers in the world can now be yours! Capsules Books, a boutique independent publisher originally from Melbourne, Australia has been creating beautifully designed books containing creative profiles of some of the best talent from around the world. New Photo Art in Nudes 5 From Graphis

One of the things I like best about getting art in the Graphis series of books, or any of these compilation books is the company I keep. The pages are filled with some of the best artists around.

I’ve shared pages with some very talented artists, designers and photographers. Photographers like Ricardo de Vicq de Cumptich in the 2017 Graphis Photography book. In 2018 my art “Vespiary,” a model with a wasp nest on her head, ended up next to Amy Schumer’s Storm Trooper can-can line by Mark Seliger. And that is one of the reasons I’m so thrilled to find out I will have five pieces in the new Nudes 5 book from Graphis. Two Gold and three Silver winning photo illustrations will be among the pages with the likes of Albert Watson, Howard Schatz, and Joel-Peter Witkin and many more accomplished photographers! 

I can’t wait to see the finished book - and it’s been a long wait. Should be out by the end of the year from Graphis. A link to pre order is below.

Silver Photography Award from Graphis!

I was recently informed that I have won a Silver award from the Graphis Photography Annual for 2019. My digital photographic art, "Dark Fairy" features Texas model Emma Anne as a butterfly winged fairy standing in the shadows and will be included in the book published later this year. This is my second Silver award, with the first in 2012 and Gold in both 2017 and 2018. Cover and links below to preorder at a discount for a limited time.
